Teamspeak - What's the deal?

For those of you who would like to take the gaming experience/teamplay to the next level we are running a TeamSpeak server. Each iTS server has it's own channel, where you may feel free to stick around whenever you want to. Each iTS server also has it's own sub-channel per team (Blue Team / Red Team), which you may join while playing on the particular team only.

When you switch team in-game, switch to the correct teams channel in your TeamSpeak client. When you go spectating, or leave the gameserver - make sure you part the team channel too.

how does it work?

TeamSpeak will allow you to chat with your teammates only, instead of using the built-in voice chat in ut2004 which is broadcasted to all the players.

First of all, you need to install a TeamSpeak client on your computer.
Click on this link, and select the client matching your operating system. It's a small file which is easy to install. Once you have installed the client, check your microphone settings etc, which can be tested without joining the TeamSpeak server.

After joining iTS TeamSpeak server you enter a channel called iTS LOUNGE.
This is the main channel, sort of a waitingroom (whatever :)

On the list of channels you will find one channel per server
(i.e. îTS .NL ««« TAM »»», îTS ñôrdîç ««« iCTF »»») etc.

You may enter the servers channel and chat/idle whenever you want. Each channel/ server has a sub-channel per team. I.e. if you are playing Blue Team on this server, join the Blue Team channel.

Always stay in the same team channel as your in-game team!
If you switch your in-game team, switch channel in TeamSpeak. If you leave the gameserver, or go spectating, make sure you leave the Team Channel in Team Speak.

How do I connect ?

Permanently add iTS TeamSpeak server to your addressbook:

* Go to Connection - Connect. Right Click, and select Add Server.
* In the New Server window, type in iTS or whatever you prefer to call it on your
  addressbook.
* In the Server Address field, type in TS.its-hq.com:8767
* In the Nickname field, type your in-game nickname so your teammates will recognize
  you
* Check the anonymous checkbox
* Click the Connect button on bottom left to connect to TeamSpeak server

 


Quick Connect:

* Go to Connection - Quick Connect
* In the Server Address field, type in TS.its-hq.com:8767
* In the Nickname field, type your in-game nickname so your teammates will recognize
  you
* Click the Connect button on bottom left to connect to TeamSpeak server
